Hello,
This is a self explanatory blog about my mission trip to Portland to work with Transitional Youth and Father's House Church. For more information visit http://www.transitionalyouth.org and http://www.fathershouseportland.com.
We were sent as a team of 10, (3 leaders and 7 students) to support and encourage the full time ministry volunteers that are already established in Portland.
We worked at Transitional Youth's camp called Royal Ridges and at their Home on the Range. We helped them at the drop in center (street church) as well. We also went out on the streets with Father's House's 'Can We Help?' program. Check the websites for more info.
This blog isn't everyone's point of view, only mine. It's not perfect or unbiased. Sometimes it's harsh. Not everyone feels the way I do.
So here is what I learned and how I fell in love again with the city and the people of Portland again.
But even more so how I fell deeper in love with Christ.
I'm going to type out my daily journal entries. Hopefully, it'll get done in a timely manner. Keep checking back.
Matthew 10:42 "And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward."
